Breakthrough in lymphatic cancer detection using AI

Medical image analysis using AI has rapidly advanced, with researchers at Chalmers University of Technology developing a computer model named Lars that can detect signs of lymph node cancer in 90% of cases. The AI system, trained on over 17,000 images from lymphoma patients, uses deep learning to analyze positron emission tomography (PET) scans. The model, supervised by Ida Häggström, learns to identify patterns in the images without predetermined instructions. As he exited the airport, the humid tropical air embraced him. Kai inhaled the exotic aromas and felt the pressures of his former corporate life melt away. This was his version of freedom - beholden to no office, untethered from the constant grind.

A wildly gesticulating driver held up a sign with Kai's online handle. He grinned and waved, tossing his bag into the beater car's trunk. During the winding drive into the lush interior, Kai mapped out his new lifestyle in his mind.
