Perplexity moving towards a $1B valuation

Perplexity, an AI startup, is close to securing a new funding round that would value the company at around $1 billion. While previous attempts by other companies like Microsoft and Neeva to compete with Google in the search market have not been very successful, Perplexity is experiencing rapid growth. The company has recently surpassed $10 million in annual revenue and has seen an 8.6% increase in visits to its mobile and desktop app, reaching approximately 50 million users in February.
