Judge Orrick emphasized the complexity of proving copyright infringement in AI-generated images, given the diverse references used in the AI training process. While the dismissal was significant, the artists were encouraged to refine their claims and potentially refile a more specific lawsuit addressing infringed copyrighted images. AI Characters Coming To Xbox

Microsoft is partnering with Inworld AI to create AI tools for Xbox game developers. These tools include an "AI design copilot" for detailed scripts and dialogue, as well as an AI character engine for generating stories and quests dynamically. OpenAI Announces GPT-4 Turbo

During its first in-person event, OpenAI revealed the new GPT-4 Turbo model and an option for users to create customized versions of ChatGPT. The company also announced a reduction in the fees for using its software. With these developments, OpenAI aims to remain ahead in the AI competition.

Notably, the GPT-4 Turbo model offers a comprehensive knowledge update, accommodating inputs of up to 300 pages and supporting DALL-E 3 AI-generated images and text-to-speech. The introduction of a personalized chatbot builder and the GPT Store further enhances user accessibility and promotes revenue generation for developers. Elon Musk's xAI Announces Grok

Elon Musk's xAI introduced Grok, an AI model with a playful edge and fewer constraints compared to other commercial AI models. Grok, built on the Grok-1 language model with 33 billion parameters, operates with real-time knowledge via the X platform acquired for $44 billion in 2022. Despite being developed in two months, xAI aims to address crucial AI challenges, including self-assessment capabilities and resilience against "adversarial attacks." Emu - Advanced Image Generation Model From Meta

Meta has introduced Emu, an advanced image model surpassing current state-of-the-art counterparts. Trained on 1.1 billion image-text pairs, Emu utilizes a Latent Diffusion Model (LDM). Its standout feature lies in the quality-tuning method, involving both automatic and human filtering, ensuring the selection of the top 2000 images for further refinement. Emu employs the "latent diffusion architecture" design, progressively training at higher resolutions, resulting in detailed 1024x1024 pixel images. Notably, compared to leading models like Stable Diffusion, Emu's generated images are preferred 68.4% of the time. This week, we'll show you how to build your very own style palette on Midjourney, making your images not just beautiful but uniquely yours.

1. Start with /tune: Type /tune into Midjourney, followed by your artistic vision.

   

2. View Style Samples: Midjourney will present a variety of samples (16-128 images) showcasing different styles based on your description.

3. Select and Generate Your Code: Choose your favourite images. This selection will generate a unique code for customizing the style of future images.

   Example style Prompt used: /tune {comic style clouds}

   

4. Select the images that depict the style you are looking for

   After selecting the images, you might get a code like 15RzKD4kCYq

5. Apply Your Style: Use your new style code with --style {code} to inform the aesthetics of subsequent creations.
